PFC Matthew Grubb of the Fairfax County Police Marine Patrol Unit boards a boat near Occoquan on May 26 to discuss a violation with the boat operator as PFC Brian Bowman keeps the Marine Patrol Boat nearby — the location of this stop prevented the boats from tethering, so Grubb had to board the other vessel. The boat operator is receiving a warning for reckless boating — a child on the boat was riding on the bow with his feet dangling over the front — a dangerous position. As soon as Grubb noticed the violation, he flashed his police lights, asked the boat to come near and boarded.
